PRESENT CONTINUOUS

  PRESENT CONTINUOUS

We use ''Am + ing form verb with "I'' , ''Are +ing ''form verb with You/We/They/plural noun(more than one person/place/thing) and ''Is +ing form verb with He/She/It/Singular noun (one person/place/thing) to say that an action is happening at the time of speaking.


Postive Sentences:  You/We/They/Plural noun+ Are + ing form verb.

                               You are playing tennis
                               We are speaking now
                                They are watching TV
                                My friends are cooking
                               The boys are dancing
                               His friends are sleeping


                            I +am +ing form verb
                           I am reading a book
                           I am sitting on the chair
                           I am teaching you a lesson

                           He/She/It/ Singular noun + Is +ing form verb
                           He is washing clothes
                           She is drinking coffee
                            It is barking
                           Navya is dancing
                           Edward is saying something to Steven
                           My girlfriend is writing a letter

Negative Sentences:   You/We/They/Plural noun+ Are not + ing form verb.

                               You are not playing tennis
                               We are  not speaking now
                                They are not  watching TV
                                My friends are not cooking
                               The boys are  not dancing
                               His friends are  not sleeping


                            I +am not +ing form verb
                           I am not reading a book
                           I am not  sitting on the chair
                           I am  not teaching you a lesson

                           He/She/It/ Singular noun + Is not  +ing form verb
                           He is not  washing clothes
                           She is not  drinking coffee
                            It is not  barking
                           Navya is  not dancing
                           Edward is  no saying something to Steven
                           My girlfriend is not  writing a letter

 Questions:  To form a question with you/we/they, we have to place Are before you/we/they. To form a question with I , we have to place "Am'' before I. To form a question with he/she/it, we have to place "Is '' before he/she/it.

                           Are we speaking now?
